Jeffery Deitch, the Director of the MOCA in Los Angeles has been finding and showcasing the most creative people and art for decades. This short video is super cool, I really like what Theaster Gates has to say about his work.
This year marks 15 years since Christopher Wallace was gunned down. I was inspired to do a piece in remembrance of one of my all time favorite hip hop artists. If your interested in this piece, please contact me.
I came across this really cool project from Ultra Creative and it's absolutely awesome. “The Fox With the Golden Fur” is a storybook and paper-cut shadowbox with illustrations on custom chocolate wrappers!!!
These Pantone tarts rock!! French food designer Emilie de Griottes for a special feature in french culinary magazine Fricote developed dessert tarts that recreate Pantone colour swatches. Berries, carrots, lemon, candies, and other foods are arranged upon a tart base, whose bottom is iced in white and marked with the pantone colour represented. You can find recipes for making the tart in Fricote issue number 6 (2012). And meanwhile take a look at this collection of desert tarts.

This work was inspired by indie folk group Bon Iver's self titled album. I decided to paint front man Justin Vernon for two reasons. First, I am a fan! Second, I am amazed that all the songs were written and composed solely by him. They've just won a grammy award for "Best New Artist" and "Best Alternative Music Album," check them out at boniver.org. Also, if anyone is interested in this work, please contact me.
